Motivation

Starship's default nix_shell module renders verbose state and fallback environment names (via ❄️ impure (nix-shell-env)), which adds visual clutter when working in devshells.

Changes

  • Configure nix_shell.format = "via [$symbol]($style)" in modules/dev/shell.nix so the prompt displays only via ❄️ when active.

Verification

  • Validated with alejandra and statix.
  • Verified Starship prompt module rendering in an active nix-shell environment.
